$5,000 “baby money” and double super: How Twoobs is rethinking parental leave

The Australian footwear brand has introduced a $5,000 “baby money” return-to-work grant, double super on paid parental leave and other family-friendly benefits, urging SMEs to be more creative in supporting working parents.

The founders of Australian environmentally focused footwear brand Twoobs have urged SMEs to be creative with their parental initiatives, as the brand rolls out new family-friendly methods to support their own employees through pregnancy and beyond. This includes a $5,000 return-to-work grant and paying double superannuation on paid parental leave.

In addition to the grant, Twoobs, which was founded by sisters Jess and Stef Dadon in 2016, has also introduced two additional days for checkups, eight weeks of paid parental leave for primary carers or birth-givers, and the brand pays super on top of that.
