Anzac Day falls on Saturday, April 25 in 2026, and while the day is observed nationwide, the rules around alcohol sales are anything but consistent.

In most parts of Australia, you can buy alcohol, but not always where or when you expect. A pub might be open while the bottle shop next door is shut, or takeaway alcohol might still be available even when retail stores are closed.

Short answer: Yes, but usually only after 1pm. And not always from bottle shops.
