Zero-interest loans open for businesses hit by fuel crisis

Zero-interest loans are now open for some businesses hit by the fuel crisis, with banks rolling out $1 billion in NRF-backed support.

The federal government’s $1 billion zero-interest loan scheme for businesses hit by the fuel crisis is now open. Banks began to assess applications three weeks after the policy was first announced.

The Economic Resilience Program, delivered through the National Reconstruction Fund (NRF), was first introduced last year. Earlier this month, the Albanese government announced it would be used in response to rising fuel costs and supply chain disruptions.
