Leading Australian activewear brand LKSD will soon start making leggings from recycled and regenerated plastic, after forging a 10-year partnership with biotech startup Samsara Eco.

From 2028, LSKD will begin transitioning some of its product lines from nylon 6 to recycled nylon 6,6 made using Samsara Eco’s pioneering technology that turns end-of-life plastics into infinitely recyclable raw materials.

The retailer, which now has 31 stores globally and more than $200 million in revenue, told SmartCompany it is still deciding which of its products will be the first to transition, but it will likely be one of its primary leggings ranges.
